If you enjoy taking a relaxing, beautiful, recreational paddle with other people along with a social event in a timeless, natural environment, then the Mississippi river offers recreational activities for the whole family! We call this RESOURCETAINMENT (resource + entertainment). Come paddle and/or enjoy events located on the upper Minnesota Mississippi river and experience the entertainment each event has to offer. Aitkin Paddle Your Glass Off
Get ready for an unforgettable adventure at Paddle Your Glass OFF! Spend a gorgeous day paddling down the scenic Mississippi River in a kayak or canoe, taking in the natural beauty of Aitkin, MN. After your river journey, kick back and enjoy a tasting of craft brews from talented local breweries - plus refreshing non-alcoholic options. To top it all off, there will be some live music to jam to and games to play. Space is limited and registration is available on the website Paddle Your Glass Off

Come take a trip down the Mississippi where we meet at the Tioga Beach and paddle down to Pokegama dam. Drop kayak, canoe, or SUP off at Tioga, and drive to Pokegama dam and park your car. A PARTY BUS will shuttle you back to Tioga Beach where the paddle will begin at 9:00 am. Bring your friends because when we end our paddle at Pokegama, we will drive to Bear Ridge Pizza in Cohasset. Most people would rather view history than read about it, so a Water History Paddling Excursion event is being offered this year. Bring your own kayak, canoe, or Paddleboard and enjoy a peaceful paddle on the Mississippi River from Lum Park to Kiwanis Park. Along the way you can stop and view signage on the Mississippi river of where past structures and events took place that helped shape this community. The event is FREE and a FREE shuttle service is provided to return those participating back to Lum Park to retrieve vehicles. Enjoy two days of racing fun at the Minnesota Paddling Championships! Bring your own lawnchairs, cooler, watershoes, and something to grill over a campfire as this is a social event as well. Camping is welcomed, and there will be live music on Saturday from 5-8 pm. Not much of a competitor? You can still join the paddling fun with any paddle powered craft at the Beaver Paddle Battle.
